About
Our story
A small shop with a big stack of audiobooks, since 2009.
Two chairs and forty boxes
Page & Spine opened in 2009 in a narrow storefront on Alder Street with two armchairs, forty boxes of used paperbacks and a very patient landlord. The idea was simple: a place where a listener could ask a real person what to read next and get an honest answer.
Fifteen years later
Today the shop carries more than 12,000 titles, hosts over a hundred events a year, and ships audiobooks across the country wrapped in brown paper and string. We're still independent, still owner-operated and still happier recommending an audiobook than selling one.
