Beans, Slowly: family recipes, written down at last, from the weeknight staples to the Sunday project.

Beans, Slowly is the kind of audiobook you press into a friend's hands and then ask about a week later. Felix Duval writes with real attention to detail, and the pacing carries you through to the final page.

★★★★★ Good, not great

Enjoyable and well written. Not quite what I expected from the description, but I'd read more by Felix Duval.

★★★☆☆ Solid, with a few slow patches

Strong voice and great atmosphere, though the middle drags a little. Still glad I read it.
